I finally decided that instead of just planting something pretty, that I&#8217;d go for a more &#8220;functional&#8221; route and plant some tomatoes. I was a bit worried that they wouldn&#8217;t grow well in the clay-ish soil in the bed, so I mixed some garden soil and a little fertilizer in when I planted them.
