{"id":1442,"date":"2009-10-10T18:29:31","date_gmt":"2009-10-11T00:29:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.brickhouseracing.com\/?p=1442"},"modified":"2009-10-10T18:29:31","modified_gmt":"2009-10-11T00:29:31","slug":"cyclocrunk-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.brickhouseracing.com\/?p=1442","title":{"rendered":"Cyclocrunk #1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, this is a bit belated.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan and I headed to midtown last week for the local cyclocross training series (<a href=\"http:\/\/cyclocrunk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cyclocrunk<\/a>) held @ Tobey Park.<\/p>\n<p>The course included 9 barriers- 8 of which were obviously taller than the 40cm &#8220;legal&#8221; height, 1 going downhill, and 2 sets\u00c3\u201a  just far enough apart that you could almost ride between them, but not quite. Oh yeah- and a sand pit.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, the course was pretty easy. Following a LeMans start, I spent the next 40 minutes riding pretty damn hard. I ended up somewhere around 8th overall (1st for the 3 or 4 women that showed up). I beat a few guys that were obviously faster than me last year, so that was nice.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll race again the next two Tuesdays.
