Dear Evansville,

Not too long ago, Ryan installed Woopra on my blog. It lets you see where visitors are coming from, how long they stay, what they read, blah blah blah…

Today was the first time that I’ve really looked at it. Not surprisingly, Memphis and the surrounding area accounts for a large number of my readers. Surprisingly, I have what seems to be a decent foothold of readers (or maybe just one who is very persistent) from Evansville, IN. I find this cool, because even though I don’t recall ever mentioning it in any posts around here, I was born in Evansville (though I moved to Memphis about the time of my first Christmas).

So, I just wanted to say HI to you, whoever you may be!

  1. Could it be me? I was born/raised and work in Evansville, though I currently live in Mount Vernon IN (15 miles west). I wonder if your fancy software can tell the difference between the two..? Maybe I’m just one of your many southern Indiana fans. :)

Anyway, if it’s me: HI! :)

  2. I have a couple mystery visitors too– it’s kind of awesomely weird. I have one regular visitor from Zurich and I adore Switzerland- I just want to find out who it is so i can invite myself over to stay for a bit. And, like, some other regular visitors in some less exciting locales around the country, too, like Western Massachusetts and Arizona and whatnot.
Mostly I’m interested in the Zurich person and whether they have a sofa bed.

  3. I think you actually have quite a few fans in Southern Indiana and Kentucky. I first saw your blog when a guy I know from Kentucky linked to it, and I started reading more regularly when I saw that we’ve done some of the same races.

  4. Keep in mind that bots mine the internet searching for blogs that have holes. If somebody in that area has a virus infected laptop/desktop this could explain it.
