The multi-purpose steel beast- a Surly Cross-Check! Right now I’m running it fixed gear (42×14) while I wait for a freewheel cog to arrive. Hopefully the mix of fixed gear road riding and single speed CX will make winter training a little more fun. I just finished my first fixed gear ride, and I have to admit, I didn’t really miss coasting except on a couple of low-speed turns. Enjoy…
I’m relative new to cycling(past year).. We went on a group ride and once of my friends was riding a fixie when he tried to bunny hop a large stick in the road. He forgot he was ridin a fixie and almost did a nice little endo. LOL. I don’t think I’ll be trying a fixed gear for a while.
